Cindy Crawford Talks Candidly To Oprah Winfrey About Her Failed Marriage To Richard Gere
WENN.comSupermodel Cindy Crawford has spoken to agony aunt to the stars, Oprah Winfrey, about her failed marriage to actor Richard Gere, and confessed that her age played a big role in their divorce.
The model, who has a mole above her top lip which became her trademark, married Richard when she was just 22, and her young age and the fact that she was still discovering herself as a person, she says, played a large part in the difficulties of their four-year marriage.
"At 22, as a young woman, I was kind of still figuring out who I was and what I wanted to be... and he was already 37", Cindy told Oprah on her television show. And at 16 years her senior, the mum-of-two believed that Richard knew she was out-growing their relationship.
"In some ways he knew I was still growing and changing; I didn't wanna hear it from him, because, at 22, you think you know everything and you think you're already formed".

Speaking of the struggles they had, the 47-year-old admitted that despite out-growing the actor during their time together, she was not willing to change to make it work with the Pretty Woman actor.
"It's hard to change in a relationship because what one person might have signed up for... all of a sudden you're not that anymore".
However, the brunette beauty has since found marital bliss with second husband Rande Gerber, with who she has son Presley, 13, and 11-year-old daughter Kaia.
