Oprah Winfrey opens ' Next Chapter' New Year's Day

While Regis Philbin ended his talk show career Friday, Oprah Winfrey is turning a new page on her's.

The Hollywood Reporter reported the queen of talk will premiere Oprah's Next Chapter on her network, the Oprah Winfrey Network, January 1 next year.

The show won't take place in a studio and will feature interviews conducted by Winfrey with celebrities, newsmakers, politicians and real-life people.

"After 25 years I got myself out of the studio chairs. I moved into the next chapter, and I am having more fun than ever -- moving around the country and the world talking to people I'm really interested in getting to know and I think viewers will be, too," Winfrey said in a statement.

According to Reuters, the show's first episode will be two hours long and feature Aerosmith front man and American Idol judge Steven Tyler.

In the interview, which takes place at his New Hampshire home, Tyler talks to Winfrey about his battle with drug addiction, his romantic life and career.

Other episodes feature Winfrey and actor Sean Penn in Haiti (he's been a huge supporter of the nation since the 2010 earthquake), Winfrey and Star Wars director George Lucas touring Skywalker Ranch, and "celebrat(ing) the power of God and community" with televangelist Joel Olsteen.
