Oprah Winfrey's new primetime series "Oprah's Next Chapter" will air an in-depth sit-down interview with New Jersey Governor Chris Christie on Sunday, January 15 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT) on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network.

Oprah travels to the home of New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, a rising star in the Republican party and a man many people have been begging to run for president. The New York Times calls him "one of the most intriguing political figures in America." In a candid interview, Governor Christie opens up about his life-long struggle with weight and the best advice his mother ever gave him. He also shares his thoughts on President Obama and what Republican presidential candidate MittRomney needs to do to capture the White House. Oprah also talks to Christie's wife, Mary Pat, and their four children.

In this new, weekly, primetime series, Oprah steps outside of the studio for some riveting, enlightening in-depth conversations with newsmakers, celebrities, thought leaders and real-life families. During the first season, Oprah also tours Skywalker Ranch with George Lucas as her personal guide, journeys to Haiti with Sean Penn nearly two years after the devastating earthquake that took the lives of more than 300,000 people, has a slumber party at Southern chef Paula Deen's Georgia estate, speaks with a Hasidic Jewish community in Brooklyn, walks on fire with peak performance strategist Tony Robbins and travels to a small town in Iowa devoted to the practice of Transcendental Me! ditation .
