Charice Grateful for Oprah Winfrey's Support
"Until now, she's still there to support me. So I just want to thank her for everything," the singer was quoted as saying during her guesting on the October 10 episode of US talk show The Couch. " I can say that she's one of the people that I really owe. She gave me the career that I'd been wanting (sic) and everything."
Charice became an international star after she became a guest on US talk shows The Ellen de Generes Showand Oprah, and she credits Oprah Winfrey for giving her the boost she needed for her career to take off. Charice has since released a couple of albums, has guested in notable shows such as Glee, and is now set to appear in a new Hollywood film, Here Comes the Boom, alongside Hollywood artists Salma Hayek and Kevin James.
"I love all of them, she says of her a-list co-stars. I'm just very blessed because I didn't expect that they would be that nice and sweet and everything. So being with them on the set, I kept on telling them that if you guys gonna make another movie, please, please pick me, pick me.
