World renowned Irish short-filmmaker Marie ORiordan is the latest to be added to the roster for Oprah Winfreys Lifeclass program on Winfreys network OWN. Invited to be part of the premiere of Oprahs Lifeclass: The Tour, ORiordan travelled to the US and will now be featured on an episode of the OWN show.

The Irish Examiner reports on the exciting invitation ORiordan received from the media mogul Winfrey. With a 21 year career under her belt and a business that spans 150 countries, ORiordan was a perfect choice for an interview with Winfreys television show Lifeclass.

Lifeclass is a self-help programme that, according to Oprahs Facebook page, showcases "all of Oprahs lessons, revelations and aha moments over the past 25 years broken down to help make your life better, happier, bigger, richer more fulfilling".

An award-winning philanthropist, ORiordan expanded her expertise from just filmmaking to include radio, television, and inspirational talks to business leaders around the world. Her impressive clientele list includes famous actors and Fortune 500 businesspeople.

The Croagh, Co Limerick native was presented the Vincent Award in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates late last y! ear for her Third World recycled iPhones project to educate children in Africa.

Though she has an otherwise strong resume, ORiordan caught Winfreys eye by having been the last person to interview Mother Teresa prior to her death in her Calcutta home in 1997.

Most impressive, ORiordan achieved so much without a university degree.
