Oprah Winfrey talks with woman convicted of killing her 2 sons
Oprah Winfrey was in Orangeburg today to talk Shaquan Duley, convicted last week of killing her two young sons.
Willie Bamberg, director of the Orangeburg-Calhoun Regional Detention Center, confirmed that the former talk-show host-turned-network-owner visited the 362-bed facility where Duley is being held.
S.C. media outlets have not been granted access to Duley.
Duley, 30, pleaded guilty March 16 in an Orangeburg County court to two counts of murder for killing her two young sons, 2-year-old Devean and 1-year-old Javan in the summer of 2010. Duley suffocated the boys in a motel room before putting them in her car and rolling it into the North Edisto River. She first told authorities she lost control of the car.
Duley faces 30 years to life in prison. She is expected to be sentenced next week.
There is no word on when the interview will be aired.
